Professor A. Carlos is an Astro biologist. He is the senior researcher in the department of Astrobiology at the Southeastern Research Institute. He also holds the position of senior scientist at the Bahamas Science Research Center.
Prior to the positions he worked with NASA mars Rovers Programs [Opportunity and Perseverance] from 2002 - 2015.
Passionate about Astronomy and microbiology, this Astrobiology, he regularly gives free lectures worldwide on the current trends.

Professor Carlos has always been eager to partake in research. Having dual doctorate degrees in Microbiology and in Astrobiology allowed him to continually pursue that goal.
A. Carlos was born in the U.S.A. parents of American and British descent. He grew up in Cantabria County, Spain then near London, England, and in Grand Bahamas Islands. At the age 11, his high IQ allowed him to enroll
in the prestigious lake Los Angeles boarding school. Athletically he helped lead the academy to 2 consecutive State volleyball titles. Keeping perfect grades throughout all his school years resulted in him graduating as valedictorian.
However the only scholarship presented to him was a Volleyball one from a University in Florida, while helping lead the college to a national title, he got both a B.S. In Astronomy and a Master of Theology.
It was the World Health Organization that started his path to researching. He participated ind semester internship. which lead to team research position at the Biosphere 2 Research Center in 1989.
Ten years later A. Carlos bed a Master's in Microbiology from university in Arizona, and a Masters in Astronomy from a university near Santa Barbara.
At the turn of century, he was hired by California's University Science Center which partnered with NASA for its Astrobiology program. He became the program manager for the Mars Raver Astrobiology Unit.
Five years later Professor Carlos fulfilled his parent's wishes and received a Doctor of Science, then a Ph.d. in Astrobiology consecutively from 2 different universities.
In 2015 after the completion of his projects, he accepted the position of senior researcher in the department of Astrobiology at the Southeast Research Institute, less than a year later, he was asked to accept a position with the Bahamas Science and Technology Association in addition a role at the Santander International University
In his free time, A. Carlos enjoys reading, traveling, mentoring, coaching, rolley ball, playing chess, and meeting people.
I have a Master of Theology degree..
I have a Doctor of Science degree.
I have a Ph.D in Astrobiology.
